Sisters of the Divine Saviour : ウィキペディア英語版 | Sisters of the Divine Savior The Sisters of the Divine Savior (also known as the Salvatorian Sisters) is a Roman Catholic religious institute co-founded on December 8, 1888 in Tivoli, by Blessed Maria of the Apostles (Therese von Wüllenweber), (February 19, 1833 - December 25, 1907), (beatified by Pope Paul VI October 13, 1968 Rome), and Father Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan, who had also founded the Salvatorian Fathers and Brothers in 1881. Worldwide, the institute has about 1200 sisters in 28 countries〔(Biography of Mary of the Apostles )〕 including Germany, the United States, Australia and the Holy Land. Conventionally, the letters "S.D.S" are used to identify the institute. ==Description== In the United States, the institute is primarily associated with education, health care and advocacy for the vulnerable poor. It is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It operates Divine Savior Healthcare (including Divine Savior Hospital) in Portage, and in Milwaukee, Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, Hadley Terrace Senior Apartments and St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus (a nursing home). It collaborates with the Society of the Divine Savior and Lay Salvatorians in the Anti-Human Trafficking Project, which includes an informational web site and electronic newsletter. They also operate the Salvatorian Sisters Residence, a home for elderly members of the institute.
